Where to Use the Harvester

Simon Mildren

The HiveKeepers harvester can be used anywhere that suits you, including a shed, garage, kitchen, or even at markets and events. It’s compact, portable and doesn’t require a dedicated extraction space, making it easy to harvest honey wherever is convenient.

The harvester is designed to be used wherever it suits you.

You don’t need a dedicated extraction room.

You can use it in a shed, garage, or even your kitchen. Because the process is contained, you’re not dealing with large amounts of exposed honey or bulky equipment.

It also opens up opportunities beyond the hive.

You can take the harvester to markets to show customers how honey is harvested, creating a direct and engaging experience. It can be used in your kitchen when entertaining, turning honey harvesting into something people can see and enjoy. It’s also extremely useful for education, whether that’s with schools, clubs, or new beekeepers learning how honey moves from hive to jar.

Do you need power to use it?

You have a few options.

The harvester is USB-C rechargeable. You can run it using its internal battery, plug it into mains power, or use a battery pack.

On a full charge, it can handle a full oney super before needing a recharge. If you’re harvesting more, you can simply leave it plugged in and run continuously.

Is it suitable for small-scale and regular use?

Yes.

The system is designed for small, frequent harvests rather than large batch processing. Because you can harvest one cassette at a time, it fits easily into normal hive inspections without needing a dedicated setup.

How durable are the cassettes?

The cassettes are designed for repeated use.

They go through cycles of filling, harvesting, and returning to the hive. With normal care, they are built to last and be reused across multiple seasons.

So practically speaking, you’re not tied to a location, power source, or large setup.

You just need a ready cassette and a few minutes.
