It works as a hive-integrated system using a frame that fits standard beehives and holds removable cassettes. These cassettes are taken during routine hive inspections, opened with a simple tool and placed into a compact benchtop harvester. With the beeswax cappings facing inward, honey is extracted in 30 seconds, producing clean, fresh honey free from wax or debris. Clean-up is minimal, requiring only a warm soapy wash with a cloth and a quick rinse.

After harvesting, the cassettes are reassembled and returned directly to the hive, allowing bees to repair and refill them naturally - supporting a low-stress, continuous cycle.

Yes. Bees use HiveKeepers frames like traditional ones. For first use it is recommended to prime the cassettes by rubbing hard beeswax on them before installing in the hive. Once there is a strong nectar flow, it won't take long for honey to appear in your cassettes.

It can, but it doesn't have to. It’s designed as an alternative for small, frequent harvesting. Many beekeepers use it alongside traditional methods.

HiveKeepers is designed to work inside standard hive systems. The frames are compatible with many existing setups (with more frame sizes on the way), meaning beekeepers do not need to change their hive infrastructure to use the system.

If crystallisation occurs, simply return the cassette to the hive. Bees will eventually consume it and replace it with fresh honey. This might take some time!

Because the cappings are not removed with our harvesting system, you simply return the cassette to the beehive and the bees naturally clean, repair and reuse the wax inside the hive within a day or two. Nothing is wasted!
